Navigating Difficult Emotions: Worry

Notes

In this week's message, we dive into the topic of worry and how it can be a consuming and debilitating emotion. Drawing from the teachings of Jesus on the Sermon on the Mount, Pastor G emphasizes the importance of seeking the kingdom of God first and trusting in God's provision. Through biblical teachings we find that the need to prioritize seeking God's kingdom and righteousness above all else is a remedy for worry and anxiety.

1. Seek First the Kingdom of God: Jesus emphasized the importance of seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness above all else. By prioritizing God's ways in our decisions and actions, we can find peace and guidance even in the midst of worry and uncertainty.

2. Cast Your Cares on Him: By surrendering our burdens to Him and trusting in His provision, we can experience a sense of relief and freedom from the weight of worry.

3. Worry is Not a Pathway to Progress: While it's natural to feel concerned at times, excessive worry can hinder our progress and cloud our judgment. By reframing our perspective and focusing on seeking God's kingdom first, we can break free from the cycle of worry and move forward with clarity and purpose.
